Dimitri is an enthusiastic vet that graduated in 2011 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ghent University. He has been recruited by MEX™ as Project & Concept Manager in January 2017. He is passionate about IT and cloud applications and has extensive experience in dairy farm herd health management. With his veterinarian background and top-notch computer skills, he is the right person on the righ place within the MEX™ team. He loves challenges, is very creative & pro-active, and always eager to find a solution for every problem. Dimitri's mission is to support the MEX™ customers as much as possible and needed to appropriately & efficiently monitor and further improve their dairy farmer client's udder health.
After graduation, Dimitri started an additional one-year internship program of the European College of Veterinary Public Health at the Department of Reproduction, Obstetrics and Herd Health. Since October 2012, Dimitri is linked to that same department as an academic assistant. Since then, he is working on a doctoral thesis in which he aims at unravelling the effect of intramammary infections with coagulase-negative staphylococci on the quarter milk production and somatic cell count in dairy heifers in early lactation. Since 2011, he is active as veterinarian in the ambulatory clinics of the Faculty of Veterinary medicine as well as in the second-line veterinary medicine of ruminants and the herd health service for pro-active dairy farmers. Dimitri is also involved in the education of the final-year veterinary students. As Project & Concept Manager, he uses all his experience and creative & solution-oriented ability to help dairy vets and other advisors to "meximize" their udder health services and let them become the most professional udder health expert they can be.
